Lawrence Yacht & Country Club
In 1924, an 18-hole Devereux Emmet original golf course began operation as the Lawrence Country Club. The Village of Lawrence acquired the property in 1936 following the Great Depression. At the time, the Club was a public facility open to all residents and non-residents until 1960.
Situated on the beautiful South Shore of Long Island and only 15 minutes from JFK International Airport, the Lawrence Yacht and Country Club is home to 18 holes of some of the best golf in Nassau County, NY. The club opened in 1924 and underwent a full redesign in the late 1960s that utilized additional acreage to lengthen the course to its present 6,324 yards.
The property includes a 135 slip marina on Bannister Creek, a tennis complex featuring nine Har-Tru courts and two pickleball courts, and a clubhouse lounge with a full-service pro shop.
Enjoy its pristine, 6,324-yard championship course. A fair yet challenging experience with five sets of tees on each hole to allow players of all abilities to enjoy a memorable round of golf.
